PointX Data Selected for Government Contract
PointX is pleased to announce that its data is to be made available to central government departments as part of a Pan Government Agreement.
PointX General Manager, Phil Alder, said “We are absolutely delighted that our data has been chosen under this government wide agreement. We take a lot of effort to deliver the most comprehensive dataset of diverse features and activities across the whole of Great Britain. I believe our equitable attention to both urban and rural areas contributed to our success.”
The data will actually be supplied by a bid consortium led by Landmark Information Group (a co-owner of PointX) and Dotted Eyes (an Ordnance Survey appointed Value Added Reseller.)
The contract takes effect from April 2009 for a minimum 3-year period.
