PointX signs contract for VisitBritain data
In its ongoing pursuit of quality data PointX is delighted to have signed an agreement with VisitBritain (formerly the British Tourist Authority.)
In the first instance PointX will enhance its holding with the addition of VisitBritain accredited accommodation data and tourist attractions for England. In early 2007 it is expected that data for both Scotland and Wales will also be added.
“We already provided quality information for accommodation and attractions” said Phil Alder, PointX General Manager, “but our own analysis indicated a shortfall, particularly in the area of Bed & Breakfast facilities. Adding this data from VisitBritain shows our commitment to quality and completeness.”
The original feed from VisitBritain includes over 21,000 accommodation features and 6,000 tourist attractions.
